Allan M. Lowe • Of Counsel
Mr. Lowe works on patent and trademark matters. He has been in private practice for more than 55 years, writing and prosecuting patent applications including handling appeals, re-examinations and interference matters. Mr. Lowe has also rendered many infringement and validity opinions of patents and trademarks. Mr. Lowe has significant experience in all aspects of electronics as well as in many aspects of physics and mechanical engineering. He also has extensive experience in litigation of trademark and unfair competition matters, including false advertising, before the courts and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Practice Highlights & Technologies
Mr. Lowe, a member of Eta Kappa Nu Honorary Electrical Engineering Society, holds a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland and a law degree from The George Washington University Law Center. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U. S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Claims Court and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Lowe has been an adjunct professor at Franklin Pierce Law Center teaching hands-on courses in patent preparation and prosecution. He has also been a guest lecturer on trademarks and unfair competition matters at the University of Baltimore Law School and the Franklin Pierce Law Center.

Mr. Lowe has also made presentations about patents to numerous high school groups. His professional associations include the District of Columbia Bar (Member, Intellectual Property Law Section; Past Chairman, Sub-Committee on Patent Decisions Relating to Computer Software; Past Chairman, Sub-Committee on Copyright Decisions Relating to Computer Software), American Intellectual Property Law Association, and International Association for the Protection of Industrial Property.BACK
