Mr. David Beardall’s expertise includes patent application preparation and prosecution and appeals before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He also serves clients by providing invalidity and non-infringement opinions and performing client counseling.
Mr. Beardall’s practice is primarily focused on the fields of semiconductor technology and medical devices, and a range of chemical applications. More specifically, his expertise includes semiconductor manufacturing, medical equipment and treatment devices, hair products, building materials, and mechanical devices in automotive applications.
Mr. Beardall has worked in-house at IBM Corporation and was an attorney in private practice at a DC-based law firm.

Mr. Beardall holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho. He achieved his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Brigham Young University. As a PhD candidate in physical chemistry of energetic materials at the University of Utah, he focused on identifying reaction pathways and kinetics using isotope labeling experiments, laser pyrolysis of energetic materials, and spectroscopic analysis of energetic materials and products of decomposition reactions. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Beardall worked in the semiconductor industry as a process engineer for Lam Research Corporation. He is licensed to practice in the state of Minnesota and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
