Profile

Mr. Liu’s areas of expertise includes assisting the partners with preparing and prosecuting patent applications for U.S. and foreign clients before the USPTO and international Patent Offices. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Liu was a senior partner in a Taiwanese patent firm where his primary focus was patent prosecution before the Taiwan Patent Office, consultation on patent infringement and invalidity opinions, and technology licensing. Mr. Liu has more than 20 years experience in handling patent-related matters concerning mechanical devices, flat panel displays, semiconductor devices and manufacturing, telecommunications, software, and optical devices.

Mr. Liu received his Bachelor degree in Power Mechanical Engineering at Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, and his Master degree of Intellectual Property at Franklin Pierce Law Center. Mr. Liu lectured Patent Law and Practice at Law Institute of Science and Technology, Tsing Hua University in 2000-2010.
