Profile

Ms. Kakimoto focuses on client counseling in all phases of preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications.  Ms. Kakimoto has administrative experience in pharmaceutical (ANDA) litigations and anti-trust litigations and has been focusing on offering cost-effective strategies.  Ms. Kakimoto holds an LL.M. from the Temple University Beasley School of Law, a B.S. in Physiology and Microbiology from the University of Maryland, and a B.A. in Law from Kanazawa University in Japan.  Ms. Kakimoto is admitted to practice law in the state of New York, the District of Columbia, and is a registered patent attorney in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Practice Highlights & Technologies

Ms. Kakimoto speaks fluent Japanese and worked with Japanese clients at a boutique patent law firm primarily for many years.  Ms. Kakimoto’s practice is directed to bio-science fields including microbe/fungus-related technologies including fermentation, mushroom cultivation and environmentally sustainable technologies, pharmaceutical matters and broad spectrum of biotechnologies.
